ORIGYN used the third quarter of 2026 to expand its blockchain infrastructure for businesses, manufacturers and developers, while preparing for a new application focused on AI agent memory.
The quarter included upgrades to the Minting Studio, completed support for Digital Product Passports, a new addition to the ORIGYN DAO treasury and the first public details of ORIGYN AgentChain.
Businesses using the Minting Studio can now connect their existing software through an API key without requiring a crypto wallet. The platform also supports organisation accounts, allowing teams to manage certificates together with different user roles.
Another addition is private data support. Digital certificates and Digital Product Passports can contain encrypted information such as supplier details and internal documents, while publicly available information remains verifiable. New certificates are also designed to appear within seconds of being created.
The changes are aimed at reducing the technical requirements for companies using blockchain-based certification. Businesses can connect their existing systems while ORIGYN manages the blockchain processes behind the scenes.
Digital Product Passports were another focus during the quarter. ORIGYN completed DPP support within the Minting Studio, allowing manufacturers to create collections and issue passports for individual products. The system can keep sensitive business information private while making other product information available for verification.
The development comes as European requirements around Digital Product Passports move forward. ORIGYN’s material states that the EU’s central DPP registry went live in July 2026, with certain batteries sold in Europe due to require passports from February 2027.
The company also introduced ORIGYN Records, a personal blockchain-based vault for storing items such as ideas, receipts, images and product information. The system is designed to create a verifiable record showing when information was saved and helping users demonstrate that it has not been altered.
For the ORIGYN ecosystem, the company continued to explain the role of its OGY token. According to the supplied material, OGY is used when digital certificates are created, while holders can also stake the token and participate in governance.
The quarter also brought a new connection between ORIGYN and Gold DAO. The early Gold DAO team transferred 100 million GOLDAO tokens to the ORIGYN DAO treasury, with the tokens staked and locked for two years. The treasury is expected to receive rewards in OGY, ICP, GLDT and WTN, with rewards directed to OGY holders who have staked for five years under the arrangement described by ORIGYN.
One of the more closely watched developments was ORIGYN AgentChain, a project designed to give AI agents persistent, verifiable memory.
The system is intended to create snapshots of information saved by an AI agent, assign each snapshot a unique digital fingerprint and link it to previous records. Proof of the record is stored on the Internet Computer blockchain, while the underlying content remains private.
The proposed system could allow users to move between devices or AI agents while retaining a verifiable history of their saved information. ORIGYN said AgentChain was still under private review at the end of the quarter and was not yet available as a public download.
The company also issued a community safety warning during September concerning BVOX, an exchange that had appeared as an OGY option on CoinMarketCap. ORIGYN said it had no connection with BVOX and had not reviewed or recommended the exchange, advising users to research platforms before connecting wallets or sending funds.
The developments show ORIGYN continuing to build around blockchain-based certification while extending its focus into product compliance and AI infrastructure. The company says its next quarter will include further work on AgentChain’s private review and continued engagement with manufacturers ahead of the February 2027 battery passport requirements.
For users still holding legacy OGY, there is also a near-term deadline. ORIGYN says legacy tokens must be migrated to the new SNS ledger by 15 October 2026. Tokens that remain on the old ledger after that date will move to a Reserve Pool and can later be recovered through a process requiring proof of ownership.
