Caffeine is adding a simpler way for users to give AI-built apps and websites their own domain names, allowing them to search for and purchase custom domains directly inside Caffeine Studio.
The feature is designed to remove some of the technical steps that can come with connecting a new domain. Instead of leaving the platform to find a registrar and then configuring DNS records separately, users can search for an available domain and complete the purchase within Studio.
A demonstration shared by Caffeine shows a project moving from a generated subdomain such as lindenpilates-q7x.caffeine.xyz to a custom lindenpilates.com address. Once connected, the custom domain can provide a consistent identity across the app’s web address and related communications.
For people building businesses, services or other projects through AI tools, having a recognisable domain can make an application easier to present to customers. Caffeine positions the feature as part of its broader effort to reduce the technical work involved in creating and launching apps.
The platform uses a chat-based approach to app building and is built around an open technology stack. Users can create applications through natural-language instructions rather than handling every development task manually.
The domain feature does not remove the usual considerations that come with owning a domain, including renewal costs, availability and choosing an appropriate name. Users will still need to ensure their chosen domain is suitable for their project and available for registration.
For Caffeine users, the change brings domain purchasing and connection into the same workflow as building an application, potentially reducing the number of external services needed to take an AI-created project from development to launch.
Dear Reader,
Ledger Life is an independent platform dedicated to covering the Internet Computer (ICP) ecosystem and beyond. We focus on real stories, builder updates, project launches, and the quiet innovations that often get missed.
We’re not backed by sponsors. We rely on readers like you.
