ICPay releases ICBucket developer SDKs for 10 programming languages

ICPay has released a set of software development kits (SDKs) for its ICBucket on-chain storage service, giving developers tools to integrate decentralised file storage into applications built with 10 programming languages and frameworks.

The SDKs cover TypeScript, Python, Rust, Go, Flutter, Java, PHP, C, C++ and Motoko. The release is intended to make it easier for developers to connect applications to ICBucket without having to build their own storage integration from scratch.

ICBucket runs on the Internet Computer blockchain and allows users to store files on-chain. It offers an S3-compatible API, allowing developers familiar with Amazon’s cloud storage interface to use similar methods when working with the service.

According to ICPay, the platform supports file uploads and delivery through its infrastructure, with no separate egress bandwidth fees. It also offers public and private storage options, API key controls and chunked uploads for larger files.

The expanded language support could make the service accessible to developers working across different technology stacks. The inclusion of languages such as C, C++ and Motoko alongside widely used options such as Python and TypeScript gives teams more ways to connect their applications to the storage system.

Developers can access the SDK packages and installation instructions through the project’s GitHub repository at github.com/prasangaramanpokharel/icpay-pkg. The ICBucket service and integration details are available at icpay.app/icbucket.

The release adds to ICPay’s work on tools built around the Internet Computer ecosystem. However, claims around cost savings, performance and the advantages of decentralised storage will need to be assessed by developers against their own workloads and requirements.

Dear Reader,

Ledger Life is an independent platform dedicated to covering the Internet Computer (ICP) ecosystem and beyond. We focus on real stories, builder updates, project launches, and the quiet innovations that often get missed.

We’re not backed by sponsors. We rely on readers like you.

If you find value in what we publish—whether it’s deep dives into dApps, explainers on decentralised tech, or just keeping track of what’s moving in Web3—please consider making a donation. It helps us cover costs, stay consistent, and remain truly independent.

Your support goes a long way.
