OISY 2.6.3 adds canister top-ups and LI.FI swap routes

OISY has released version 2.6.3, introducing a feature that lets users top up Internet Computer canisters with TCYCLES directly from their wallets, alongside a new swap provider, LI.FI.

The update builds on OISY 2.6, which allowed users to convert Internet Computer (ICP) tokens into TCYCLES and hold computing resources in their wallets. With version 2.6.3, users can transfer those cycles to a canister by opening the TCYCLES page, selecting the top-up option, entering the canister ID and choosing an amount.

According to OISY, the wallet checks whether the canister exists before processing the top-up. Users do not need to use a command line or be the canister’s controller to carry out the operation.

The release also adds LI.FI to OISY’s existing swap provider options, alongside Velora and NEAR Intents. LI.FI searches for routes across Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Robinhood Chain and Solana, giving users additional options when exchanging tokens across networks.

OISY says it checks each LI.FI swap offer before presenting it for approval. An offer is displayed only if it is expected to deliver the token requested by the user at or above the stated minimum amount. Where a suitable direct swap route cannot be verified, the wallet may suggest a two-step swap through an intermediate token.

The update also brings changes to transaction security and wallet usability. OISY says it has strengthened its review of WalletConnect requests across Solana, Bitcoin and Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible networks. Signing out now clears permissions previously granted to connected applications.

Other changes include the option to hide a wallet balance by double-clicking it and synchronisation of in-progress swaps across devices.

The new features aim to make canister funding and token swaps easier to manage within the wallet. However, the availability of swap routes and the final amount received can depend on network conditions and the route offered. Users should review transaction details and any applicable fees before approving a swap.

OISY 2.6.3 is available through oisy.com.
