Caffeine is introducing a new way for app creators to collect and manage feedback directly from their applications.
The feature allows commenters to point to a specific part of a Caffeine app and leave a note about what they would like changed. They can click on the relevant area and type their feedback, with the comment appearing in the creator’s chat alongside a screenshot showing exactly what they were viewing.
Creators can then decide how to respond to each piece of feedback. They can make the requested change, mark the comment as resolved or remove it.
The approach is designed to make feedback more specific by connecting each comment to the part of the app it refers to. Rather than relying on descriptions such as where a button or feature appears, creators receive a visual reference of the area being discussed.
It also allows creators to gather feedback without giving commenters direct editing access to the application.
The feature could be useful for creators testing new apps with users, collecting suggestions during development or identifying areas that need improvement after an app has been shared.
By keeping feedback inside the Caffeine workflow, creators can review comments alongside their existing development process and decide which suggestions to act on.
