OISY has expanded its supported assets with the addition of XRP, giving users access to the cryptocurrency through the wallet’s latest 2.6.0 release.
XRP is now available to OISY wallet users alongside assets including Bitcoin, Ethereum and ICP. The addition means users can manage XRP through the same wallet interface rather than relying on a separate application for the asset.
The update forms part of OISY’s broader use of Chain Fusion, which is designed to connect assets and services across different blockchain networks. By adding support for assets from outside the Internet Computer ecosystem, OISY is seeking to make its wallet useful for users managing portfolios across multiple chains.
The XRP integration adds another established cryptocurrency to that mix, potentially making OISY more relevant to users who already hold or transact in XRP.
However, adding an asset does not by itself determine how widely it will be used. Adoption will depend on factors such as the wallet experience, transaction functionality, liquidity and demand from users.
The release of OISY 2.6.0 marks the latest expansion of the wallet’s supported assets, with XRP now available through the platform.
